Couple of weeks ago, we were invited to stay overnight at Mountain Lake Resort. We arrived early afternoon and we were overwhelmed with excitement as we saw the obstacle course, zip line, green fields, and we knew there's a lot in store for us. Let me share my experience and get to know what the resort has to offer.


ACCOMODATION
Mountain Lake Resort have a wide range of accommodations to choose from during your stay. The hotel rooms are located in the Lake Caliraya Country Club (Clubhouse) which is a 1.2km away from Mountain Lake Resort (Kubo, Boathouse, Tent, Pool, Obstacle Course, etc.). If you need transfer service from/to the Country Club, you may approach their friendly staff.

Kubos or Amihan Cottages is perfect for groups or family. They have a Small Cottage that can accommodate 4-6pax, Big Cottage for 8-10pax, and VIP Cottage for 4-5pax.

FOOD
La Cucina De Caliraya is a restuarant in the Lake Caliraya Country Club (Clubhouse) with good and reasonable-priced food. Most of the food they served are Filipino dishes.

 
 

The restaurant is situated in a great area with the scenic view of the golf course. We had the best dining experience during our stay. The food, service, and the ambiance are outstanding. 

Dinner with Mariane (Trip Ni Mariane), Karla (Karlaroundtheworld), Aylin (The Daily Posh), the (Konyo Queen) Raina, and the crew from Mountain Lake Resort.

HOW TO GET HERE

By Private Vehicle:
Option 1 - Through South Expressway
Take the South Expressawy all the way to Calamba Exit. At Calamba Crossing (SM Calamba), turn right. Straight ahead using the highway passing towns of Los Banos, Bay, Vistoria, Pila, Sta Cruz and Pagsanjan.
After passing the Pagsanjan Archway, you will see a T road at the end of which is a Catholic church. On the T road, turn left to Lumban, then drive for 4 kms, then you will see a Y road, take the right. Drive the 6 kms ascent, then you will see Caliraya Recreation Center. Approximately 5 kms further, on the left side is the entrance to Caliraya Springs Golf and Mountain Lake Resort.

Option 2 - Through Rizal
From EDSA take Ortigas Avenue and turn right at the first intersection after the Cainta junction towards Taytay. Following the main highway bound for Laguna, pass through the eight municipalities of Rizal. Make a U-turn at Barangay Bagong Silang, Lumban to start ascend to Caliraya Lake.

Laguna Province Accessibility
Major bus companies here in the city have its trip to the well developed roads to and from Metro Manila and within the CALABARZON (Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal-Quezon) on a regular basis. Bus terminals are located at Buendia and Taft Avenue and EDSA in Pasay City.

* Southern route: In this particular route, the South Expressway is the main artery, with exits at San Pedro, Biñan, Sta Rosa, Cabuyao and Calamba in Laguna.

* CALABARZON route: The highway system and well-developed road network of this region links the neighboring provinces with ease and convenience for tourism, trade and commerce
