Did you know that Baguio City was also known as a “Summer Capital of the Philippines,” simply because the first family always spends their summer in Baguio City? I heard that from a travel cable channel few days ago. First family go to Baguio City, every year, every summer time of the year and stays in the “The Mansion,” one of the tourist spot there.

Azalea Residences Baguio

Meanwhile, for people like us having no access to The Mansion, Azalea Residences Baguio, located along Leonard Wood Loop, Teacher’s Camp and Botanical Garden are as one of the neighborhoods, also offers a luxurious stay fit for Kings and Queens. I already posted how our room 201 looks like posted here – cozy, posh, elegant and relaxing, thus, staying here is unquestionably worth every penny. So, if you’re looking for a beautiful refuge then I would totally recommend to book and try Azalea Residences Baguio. You can have the silence that you wanted, the comfort that you’ve been longing for, a place with a frosty weather and warm gestures of hotel’s staffs is an awesome combo, and of course great food at their restaurant, details to be posted soon on my food blog Bubbly Fluffy, Tradisyon – Pinoy Comfort Food.

With that said, having an opportunity to wander around the hotel’s vicinity after our sumptuous buffet breakfast is a delightful experience to share. Thanks to Chris, Azalea’s marketing, who patiently toured and guided us to the hotel to see what more Azalea Residences Baguio can offer to everyone. So Darlings, this post contains a number of photos, I can’t help it, but the place is so fantastic not to have a photo ops. Timer and selfie are my friends during this time as my blogger friends are also busy with their picture takings.

Our first stop, located at the 5th/6th floor (memory gap here, I’m not sure now where it is) of the building is the Presidential Suite. Upon entering, I was at “oh-my-golly” mode for being amazed on how the interior design being put together. It has a fake fireplace, and I can’t help it to daydream that I was in the United States, hmm… dream home somehow. It was like living in an American dream with an overwhelming accent of countryside living.

Presidential Suite is a loft type room. Kitchen, dining area and living area are located in the ground floor having huge dream catcher as part of the decoration. On the second floor, where you can see the whole ground floor area, well, I must say, it is part of the floor where you can overlook what’s happening on the ground floor; three bedrooms are located with super spacious bathrooms. Presidential Suite is ideal for Family reunions/gatherings, I think, 20-30 persons can fit in this room.

There's also a deluxe room that they call it as a romantic room, good for 2. Settings like below can be arranged thru them.

Next stop, a room similar to our room, the Three-Bedroom Suite, everything is similar to our room but did you know that you can request a crib for no additional cost if you’re traveling with a baby just let them know and they would be gladly assist you.

Do I mention that Azalea Residences Baguio is also perfect for business functions/gatherings? Yes, they have functions rooms that would fit according to your needs. Even wedding reception is also can be held here. They can place a red carpet in your walking aisle going to the reception area. Walking like a princess, indeed!

I know traveling with kids could be excruciating; thus, Azalea also has a playground; yeah they just already heard Mommy’s agony. Ha-ha. Because of that, mommies out there can just let their kids having fun under the sun while enjoying the cold breeze of Baguio. A safer and fun playing environment could be yours because they put sand instead of cement or tiles. However, I’m a bit sad ‘coz I am not allowed to ride on one of these stuffs. That's why, Alwin and I are just goofing around.

Of course, I wouldn't pass a chance to have an OOTD here. It’s 11 o’clock in the morning by then, so we headed to our room to rest for a while but ended up sleeping for hours and skipped lunch. (“ ,)

Spacious comfort room with mirrors all over. OOTD again. Lol.

When I asked about the name, owners where thinking that the hotel should be named after a flower because Baguio City is known for that because of Panagbenga Festival. They came up with Azalea. Azalea, as per wiki, is a flowering shrub comprising two of the eight subgenera of the genus Rhododendron: the Tsutsuji (evergreen) and Pentanthera (deciduous). Azaleas bloom in summer in the Northern hemisphere and in winter in the Southern hemisphere, their flowers often lasting several weeks. Shade tolerant, they prefer living near or under trees.

That’s it for now, our Day 1 in Baguio City and that was truly a staycation because we spent our day one cuddling our pillows and lying in bed almost all day. It was a perfect retreat away from the chaos.
